Winking Studios Announces Acquisition of Mineloader Studios, Accelerating Growth and Innovation Through Strategic M&A

SINGAPORE, 17 January 2025, 3:00 PM – Winking Studios (LSE: WKS; SGX: WKS), a leading provider of game art production and game development services headquartered in Singapore, announced its acquisition of Mineloader Studios. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and the fulfillment of preconditions agreed upon by both parties. Once completed, it will represent Winking Studios' largest transaction to date.

Founded in 2003, Mineloader Studios has grown to become one of Asia’s leading art outsourcing and game development service providers with a strong reputation within the global video games industry. Spearheaded by industry veterans that have extensive experience at renowned Japanese gaming companies, Konami and Koei, Mineloader Studios has developed integrated capabilities across various gaming platforms and expanded its workforce to 466 employees across 3 studios over the past two decades.

Mineloader Studios has built up strong and long-term relationships with majority of its blue-chip gaming clientele that comprises 2K Games, Ubisoft, CAPCOM, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Electronic Arts, and Tencent Games, among others. With its established experience in the Japanese market and strengths in console games platform, Mineloader Studios is well-positioned to bolster Winking Studios’ global M&A strategy.

Following the completion of the transaction, Mineloader Studios’ management team will remain unchanged. Its founder will continue to serve as the legal representative and managing director. The company will continue to independently manage the business with its original branding.
